When we first started photography we had made our apartment in our living room our pop-up studio space. Quickly as word spread that we were doing photography we begin to get booked for many special events. Over the years we’ve had experience capturing a wide variety of events. Today we are sharing with you 10 types of events to capture. (There are many types of events) This is a shortlist of ones we’ve had the pleasure to capture.

Milestone Dinner Party & AJs Catering aka Anthony James

We were booked to capture images of a milestone birthday dinner party. The dinner setup for the guest was all so beautiful I hadn’t seen anything like it. There was a fellow at the table and I ask if I could take his pictures ( not being familiar with any of the guest at the party I thought he was a guest)

After learning he was the caterer I knew this was a person that we definitely wanted to keep up with.

Oh what a pivotal year this was so before we dive into it.. this major event change things for us totally.

When my Aunt called onto me to co host my cousins baby shower I was thrilled to be apart.

We put ideas together and we would meet plan and shop

My Aunt allowed me to have creative control and add all the little fun details.

So we were able to make the shower so cute.

So the day came shower was a success so what happened next and when something new in our business occurred After the shower one of the guest inquired about the décor and was interested in our supplies.

So they reached out to us and ask us about our décor packages.

At that time I just did stuff for my love to craft and create I had no décor packages or anything… so after the inquiry I reached out to my nephew (Antar) who assisted me in putting some packages together…

So just like that we added custom décor to our photography services

So we are now : Kustom Kreation Photography & Celebration DecorThe guest from my cousin shower booked us for décor and special event photography….Alright now we are on the move…

We are so excited about our up and coming Portfolio & Perspective Workshop! Over the weekend we announced our location. This perfect loft studio with amazing natural light has our mind going over board with all the creative possibilities!!! If you are photographer or event stylist looking to build your portfolio this interactive workshop is perfect for you!

Remembering Yesterday- Life is a Gift Baby Shower… Purple Passion

The year was 2012 and we were ask by our client to create a stylish Life is a gift baby shower in purple. We were delighted to create this specialty party and incorporate images that we had taken during their maternity session a month prior.

We created a dessert bar focal point using cupcakes, chocolate fountain parfait and water bottle favors. Using tulle and paper lantern to accent the table. Also a large sign was placed  above the hand made cupcake stand (we created using a large box wrapped in wrapping paper with ribbon and we used custom favor tag to place in the front)

Custom water labels are always a great takeaway from your celebration!

Such an exciting day for your girls to celebrate you and welcome your new bundle of joy! Life really is a gift!

Remembering Yesterday- Life is a Gift Baby Shower

The year was 2011 and we were on fire… creating and designing custom party collections!

When we were contacting by Andineka and her God mother with the idea to create party decoration for a “Life is a Gift” baby shower using the soft baby colors green and yellow.

We jumped at the chance of creating these supplies and also assisting with the setup of the celebration.

We began with custom invitations (a invitation always sets the tone for an event)

Guest were welcomed as they walked through the door with a custom Life is a Gift Banner

Welcome table was right inside to sign guest book and pick up a game sheet.

Classic baby shower games were played including unscramble the words, word find and ice ice baby!

Aj’s Catering set up a beautiful food displayed in which guest enjoyed the delicious delights followed by your choice of vanilla or chocolate cupcakes for desserts.
