Hello Khalilah Baby Shower- A Welcome Shower for Baby

Just recently we hosted a Hello Kitty Inspired Baby Shower for my niece. This is her 1st baby ! The news of baby was so welcoming to the family! As time progressed and we then found out she was having a girl, she choose the theme hello kitty for the nursery. We decided to create a custom shower using the same theme as the nursery.

We called this shower Hello Khalilah!

So as we put the shower together and was so excited for the date to come, the baby came a week before the shower. So as we mailed out the custom invites, a day or so later the baby was born. A bit premature, but strong little girl she entered the world

August 5, 2013 weighing 4lbs 11oz.

She immediately showed immediate progress and was able to be released to go home within days of her birth. My niece was feeling wonderful and overjoyed about her new bundle of Joy , she wanted to move forward with the shower making it a meet and greet, a small intimate shower of close friends and family. We are so thankful and happy about our latest member of the family and

Not without My Purse- An Act of Kindness

 

This past weekend I ran into a dilemma unlike any predicament I’ve been in before. I was blessed to run into the people I needed at the right time to continue to make my day a great one… Here’s my story… 

Saturday August 10-  2 Events One Wedding/ One Birthday Celebration

As I reflect on when a ride runs so smooth sometimes you can always find a bump in the road. I felt like Saturday I pretty much had it together , the wedding went great and I was even able to leave a little bit earlier seeing that the bride and groom had took off for their honey moon, It gave me plenty of time to head to my next event at 4 in quite a distance away. As I traveled down I-285 (Atlanta)  decided to stop at Quik trip on Covington as I pulled up confident to gas up and back on the road in No time flat it was the discovery that I didn’t have a purse.. I had less then a quarter tank of gas and NO MONEY no where… No Cash , No Credit and no thought as to where I left my purse…. So first thing came to my mind.. I’m going to have to ask someone for the money, because I have to make it to this next job…. I promised my client I would be there to capture her son celebration….. Ask a older gentlemen who reached in his pocket and gave me $2 I was thankful ran inside prepaid with my $2 called home to ask my son if I left my purse and he said, Yes mom your purse is here on the couch, what a sign of relief… what was I to do next seeing that $2 didn’t guarantee me a ride to my next event and back home  without running out of gas…. Next thing I phoned a friend and  they were immediately  willing to assist and to my surprise they  were close to an old neighborhood that was minutes from where I was… As I got off the highway I was Thankful that God lined up the people I needed in the right amount of time allowing me the opportunity to make it to my next gig.. ( not too bad 4:15p.m) and with enough gas to get me back home to my children and my purse… 

 

Thank God for the everyday people that are Angels with halos!

Congratulations to one of my very favorite caterers for winning 2013 International Special Event’s Society’s ” Race for a Taste” Atlanta! The theme this year “Geeky in the Garden” It was held at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. This was a first entry and they won in every category. Best Food, Best Presentation, Best Overall.  I couldn’t be happier for Aj’s Catering!

This past weekend I had the pleasure of capturing images from a styled shoot soon to be a party by Helena’s Planners. I was eager to find out what layout I was going to capture.
